In June 2015, CHUM member Marla Monk, took a mission trip to Guatemala where her team conducted medical clinics for 4 days in 3 villages. The clinics were in support of a permanent mission, Guatemala Landing Zone (GLZ).
One of the regular programs conducted by the missionary at GLZ is a feeding program in Rio Negro and Pacux, Guatemala. Together the programs feed 152 children and elderly, 5 hot meals per week.
CHUM members chose to donate funds to sponsor 6 individuals in the feeding program in Pacux, 3 children and 3 elderly. Through these donations 6 people will be fed a hot meal 5 days a week for an entire year. Here are pictures of some of those we are sponsoring.
