"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV)
Thank you for visiting our website. As you learn about us in these pages, you will find that we are a Christ-centered church that is characterized by a belief that the Bible is God’s inspired word and His Grace is available to all believers. Our congregation is focused on prayer, study, and serving the community. We meet for Sunday School at 10am and Sunday morning worship at 11am. We would love to see you there!

I hope that each of you had a wonderful holiday for Labor Day. I enjoyed just a quiet day without many obligations. It was nice.
Thank you to Marla for organizing our recent "Lunch Bunch" trip. The Bright Star exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time. There were nearly thirty of us and it was a lot of people that some of us do not know that well. I was more than pleased. The weather held off so that most of us made it to our cars before the rains started. I hope if you can you make plans to attend the next one which will be towards the latter part of October.
I am doing something that I have not done in the past. I have spent a lot of time this summer thinking about what it means to be a Christian and then what that entails to be a Methodist Christian. Each person when they become a Christian makes a personal promise that they believe that Jesus Christ is their personal Savior and that they have a relationship with him.
When you join the church either at Confirmation or as an adult you make a pledge in front of the congregation or if you do it privately in front of the minister to serve God and the church in the following ways, with your Time, Talents, Tithes and your Missions.
I am enclosing with this letter a calendar that hits the high points for the coming year. This letter is to make you aware of where we need your first pledge and that is time. I am not suggesting that you try to do everything on this list. What I am suggesting is that you make this calendar accessible and that you look at things that you may be able to help with. Many are as simple as pushing a broom or setting up tables. As I have said throughout my time that if we keep things simple and make them fun we will always attract a larger crowd.

I hope as you look over these dates you will begin to pray for each event or activity. Then after you pray, figure out ways that you can become involved. If we have missed a date simply call Gwen and we will add the date. We are going to send updated calendars throughout the year.
Have a great day, stay dry!!
See you Sunday!!
